Ajab Prem ki Bore Kahani.

Well..this movie certainly qualifies to be added to the list of movies which are advised to be watched leaving your brains at home..The movie scored in nothing, the only consolation was watching the gorgeous Katrina Kaif and the chocolate boy Ranbir Kapoor although both wasted in underrated roles.

The story begins with this school dropout guy Prem(Ranbir Kapoor who runs a certain Happy Club, members being all good-for-nothing people. A total निकम्मा guy to be precise. Parents keep cursing him for doing nothing..In comes Jenny (Katrina Kaif), an orphan who lives with her parents, who just want to get rid of her by marrying her off to some rich Christian guy Tony. And here we are shown another agonizing set of scenes where Prem helps Jenny to elope..only to realize that she already has a boyfriend Rahul(Upen Patel) My God, why on earth he was given that role, I fail to understand.  Gazab kahani actually :|

Finally Jenny falls for Prem.I do not want to go into the details why and how. There is lil humour here and there, but its not enough to save the movie..Even the music fails to impress..A total bore, this movie. Thumbs down for Ajab Prem ki Gazab Kahani.

This is one of the worst movies I have seen lately. Rather I just could not watch it completely and had to stop to save my mind and time. You are right, we had to leave our brains at home to watch this movie but somehow I dont know how to do that. I always wondered how imtiaz ali could come up with something like Love Aaj Kal after a gem like Jab We Met, and how could Bhansali come up with saawariya after classics like Khamoshi, HDDCS and Black. But I guess these guys were good compared to Rajkumar Santoshi who created a new low with APGK after Andaz Apna Apna and Ghayal. I hope this doesnt happen with Hirani, After Munnabhai I am expecting a lot from 3 idiots.

:D You did the right thing to stop and not watch the whole movie. I did not have that option too as I watched it in multiplex :( what a waste of money and time.

I have also always wondered what you have mentioned. That how the same director after delivering a hit can direct such bogus movies following the hits. But I guess thats just a trick, so that the viewers' expectations do not rise too much :)

My God how I had endured Saanwariya with a series of yawns, I just can't forget. I guess the directors need a lesson in remaining consistent :D Plus Bollywood needs some more substance movies rather than the colorful larger than life movies with no story as such.

btw Thanks for your comment Sachin!
